Bid Specialist

Job Summary:

The Bid Specialist will be responsible for managing the components of a bid, preparing responses to proposals, bids, quotations or other documents describing services in response to requests from prospective clients. They will be required to collaborate with members of the sales, marketing, finance and construction teams to ensure content is complete, accurate, and timely.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Contact sub-contractors to obtain estimates on specific work (i.e. Electrical, mechanical, etc).
• Track bid coverage and identify scope gaps early
• Source additional qualified subs where coverage is thin
• Maintain updated bidder lists and trade databases
• Iterate upon standardization processes for bid logistics and documentation
• Research and determine any job site requirements and fees (i.e. Mall and landlord requirements).
• Identify any state regulations that will impact job cost on specific building sites.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Proficiency with spreadsheets, email and other productivity software.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.
