Job Details

Under the general supervision of the Public Safety Operations Manager, Shift Supervisor or designee, this position performs all duties and responsibilities related to the day-to-day protection and security of Southcoast Health System (SHS) and Southcoast Hospitals Group (SHG) assets and information as well as the safety of all persons on hospital/ SHS property. The incumbent Officer proactively guards against fire, theft, vandalism and unauthorized entry to SHG grounds and/or buildings while controlling access points. Qualifications High school diploma or GED equivalent required, associates degree preferred. Prior military, security, corrections, police, or relevant experience a plus. May require obtaining Special Police/ Constable powers within a designated municipality. Over three months up to and including one year of experience is required. A valid Drivers License is required.
