Description:

Join Our Team as a Project Engineer where you will work on the development of a sophisticated state-of-the-art avionics product in a world class Integrated Product Development environment.

Location: This position does not support teleworking; the preferred candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility, one of the coolest places to work: Cambridge MA, and be expected to work a flexible 9x80 schedule in the office full-time.

What does this role look like?

You will represent program management at a key supplier site in Cambridge MA, working with the supplier in the development and integration of world‑class avionics systems.

Key Activities You Will Accomplish In This Role

  • Coordinate engineering efforts between program and contractor.
  • Represent program to Navy program office.
  • Drive contractual engineering tasks to closure and meet program milestones.

To Be Effective In This Role, You Will Need

  • Experience leading avionics development projects.
  • Experience working with and managing subcontracts.
  • Experience in different phases of aerospace hardware development cycle.
  • Experience interacting with peers, management and government customers.
  • Experience in presentations and in written communication skills.
  • Missile design experience.
  • 8+ years professional experience.
  • While no clearance is needed to start in this position, you will need to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance, thus US Citizenship is required.
