Under the leadership and guidance of the Beth Israel Lahey Health Primary Care (BILHPC) – South Chief Operations Officer (COO), the Operations Manager partners with the COO, Associate Chief Medical Officer (ACMO), Regional Dyad and Practice leadership as well as other key members of the BILHPC team to support day‑to‑day practice operations and initiatives across the BILHPC South region with a focus on enhancing operational efficiencies through standardizing processes, streamlining workflows, cost management, and continuous improvements.
Job Description
Primary Responsibilities
- Utilize best practices to accelerate change. Focus on key initiatives to implement new systems and optimize supply chain costs and efficiencies.
- Develop project plans focusing on critical success factors, project milestones and deliverables, and develop contingency plans to ensure project delivery within allotted budget and timelines. Track project performance to identify areas for improvement and adjust as needed and to analyze its successful completion of short‑ and long‑term goals. Ensure compliance with BILH standards, quality and procedures.
- Partner with Finance and Supply Chain Management to ensure smooth operations of current vendors, competitive pricing, medical supplies/vaccines, inventory management and invoice processing.
- Act as the Grant Manager for BILHPC South grants as appropriate. Ensure that BILHPC is strictly adhering to the requirements set by the grantor and grant proposal. May supervise staff hired into grant positions.
- Support BILHPC growth and Business Development by supporting practice acquisitions, buildouts and/or renovations, including furniture requests while adhering to the timeline and budget.
- Administratively support key programs at practice sites. Obtain and maintain CLIA Waiver licenses and renewals to ensure all our sites are compliant and able to perform Point‑of‑Care testing in the practice in accordance with MA DPH guidelines.
- Develop effective and concise communication methods to keep staff and leadership informed about improvement/redesign activities. Communicate issues that arise to the appropriate leadership at BILHPC. Support staff by responding to their concerns and resolving issues directly.
- Assist with onboarding new clinical staff and Practice Managers.
- Represent BILH PC South in larger BILHPC organizational meetings as required and represent Operations on BILHPC South committees and initiatives.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree required. MBA or MHA desirable or equivalent industry training/experience.
- 3–5 years related work experience in a medical practice environment.
- Ability to travel to practices.
Pay Range
$83,200.00 – $114,400.00 USD
The pay range listed for this position is the annual base salary range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, including seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.
