Manager, Media Business Operations

Digitas is the Networked Experience Agency. We deliver Networked Experiences by leveraging data, technology, creative, media and strategy capabilities to help brands grow in human networks. This description outlines the Manager, Media Business Operations role and its responsibilities within a client portfolio and a team of Analysts and Senior Analysts.

What you'll do

As a Media Business Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and oversight of Media Business Operations initiatives for a specific client(s) as well as a team of Analysts and Senior Analysts (including extended team). The Manager will delegate work, prioritize tasks, and grow a strong Media Business Operations team. You will collaborate with agency teams and external partners to analyze financial inconsistencies and operational trends across a diverse client portfolio to refine and develop process. Focus areas include monitoring overall client financial health, agency systems support, audit compliance, process architecture and agency growth initiatives. You will provide regular feedback and report into the Media Business Operations Associate Director.

Day to day your role includes:

  • Oversee client(s) media financials across assigned client portfolio and teams
  • Ensure invoice and reconciliation processes are completed by the agreed timing and sign off on campaign closure packets
  • Manage client communications and escalations for financial and operations matters
  • Guide internal teams on financial best practices as well as system limitations
  • Enforce adherence to internal audit controls, maintain audit documentation and participate in external audits
  • Track key project milestones, anticipate challenges and raise flags to guarantee timely deliverables
  • Partner with media teams to develop client-specific billing needs from reporting to system execution strategies
  • Create operational exceptions and processes to meet client needs while maintaining audit integrity and compliance
  • Collaborate with agency teams and external partners to address areas of attention to improve process, financial standing and/or address client needs
  • Partner with Media Business Operations Leads on buying tool functionality evaluations, process rollouts, and tool integrations
  • Meet monthly with extended team to evaluate task execution and provide ongoing feedback to improve efficiency
  • Mentor and serve as escalation point for team of Media Business Operations Senior Analysts, Analysts and PGD extended team
  • Begin to understand key elements of terms and conditions within contractual documents
  • Build strong client, partner and interdepartmental relationships – you'll win their respect and be recognized as a leader on the business

Qualifications

We're looking for strong, impactful work experience, which typically includes:

  • Four-year degree and/or 4-6 years' experience including 1-3 years in a financial, management and/or operations focused role in an agency or marketing company
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment
  • Strong problem solving, prioritization, multitasking and time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills – articulate, straightforward and thoughtful
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong leadership qualities and ability to drive change
  • Detail oriented and highly organized
  • Proficiency in managing numbers
  • Self-motivated and fiscally responsible
  • Familiarity with prompt-based interaction and commonly used generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Google Gemini, DALL·E, Midjourney) is a plus for tasks like ideation, research, or content generation

Compensation Range: $73,910 - $111,320 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position. The Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan and/or 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria are met.
