Job Details

Under the general supervision of the Operations Manager, Shift Supervisor or designee, this position performs all duties and responsibilities related to the day-to-day protection and security of Southcoast Health System (SHS) and Southcoast Hospitals Group (SHG) assets and information as well as the safety of all persons on hospital/ SHS property. Patrols Hospital properties by vehicle and foot to deter and investigate crimes in accordance with authority granted under Massachusetts General Law Chapter 22 C Section 63. This position could have additional responsibilities assigned at the direction of department leadership. State Special Police Officer's will be cross-trained and eligible to work at other SHG and SPG locations as needed. Qualifications High school diploma or GED equivalent required, associate's degree preferred. Prior military, security, corrections, police or relevant experience a plus.
