Plant Maintenance Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant Maintenance Manager to oversee all aspects of maintenance and ensure smooth and efficient plant operations. This role involves supervising maintenance personnel, managing plant machinery repairs, and leading capital improvement projects. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in realizing the operational efficiency and safety objectives of the plant while maintaining strict adherence to environmental and safety regulations.

Salary: $140,000.00 - $155,000.00 per year

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervise maintenance personnel and oversee the maintenance and repair of plant machinery and equipment.
  • Coordinate and manage the involvement of contractors, ensuring compliance with safety and technical standards.
  • Develop and oversee RFPs for contracted plant work and negotiate terms.
  • Manage OEM bulletins and integrate technical updates into plant operations.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, including capital spare parts for critical machinery.
  • Coordinate with Operations Manager to plan and execute maintenance activities efficiently.
  • Lead the development and execution of plant capital improvement projects and outages.
  • Administer the CMMS program, utilizing it to prioritize work orders, maintain inventory, and procure materials.
  • Provide coaching and training opportunities for the maintenance team to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Document safety findings and ensure strict adherence to safety protocols by all staff and contractors.
  • Participate actively in the Asset Management and Process Safety Management programs.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or substantial experience in industrial maintenance management.
  • A minimum of ten years of industrial experience in maintenance, with a strong emphasis on leadership and planning.
  • At least two years of experience with responsibility for a CMMS system.
  • Proficient in mechanical and electrical engineering principles applicable to a plant setting.
  • Excellent administrative, managerial, and organizational capabilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead and motivate the team.
  • Must possess self-confidence, awareness, and reliance critical for decision-making.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience in managing plant maintenance budgets and financial planning.
  • Advanced technical skills, including expert knowledge of the latest industry practices in maintenance and safety.
  • Prior experience in the energy sector, particularly in gas and steam turbine operations, is highly advantageous.
  • Experience with root-cause analysis techniques and preventive maintenance programs.
