Seasonal Dockmaster, Marine & Environmental Affairs

Responsible for controlling use of town owned marinas and slips, maintaining law and order, protecting life and property at Town marinas; ensures safety of vessels at dock, and all other work as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school degree with two years experience in a related maritime field; knowledge of waterfront practices, rules and regulations, and pertinent maritime laws; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Class D drivers license.

CPR, First Aid, or First Responder certifications are desirable.

Additional Qualifications:

Thorough knowledge of harbor and waterway regulations and proper procedures. Knowledge of general maintenance and mechanical repair work. Ability to work tactfully with the public. General knowledge of Coast Guard regulations and procedures. Ability to operate power and hand tools. Knowledge and ability to operate small boats.

Compensation: $19.50 hourly, no benefits.
