Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday

Salary: $80,000

The Dining Services Director will work in a hospitality model kitchen, cooking, serving, and interacting with residents of our assisted living care facility. If you are an experienced culinary professional with a passion for interacting with people and a desire to work for a company that emphasizes work-life balance, this is an ideal opportunity for you.

This role involves hands-on management, including helping your cooks prepare and serve food at least 2 shifts per week, and engaging with residents and their families, acting as a liaison when necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of food service professionals and prepare quality meals for residents.
  • Complete daily administrative reports.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulations and standards.
  • Report accidents and incidents to the Executive Director.
  • Follow planned menus according to dietary guidelines.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety of work areas.
  • Inspect storage and utility areas for upkeep and infection control.
  • Review temperature logs for food safety.
  • Address resident concerns promptly.
  • Manage department budget and financial records.
  • Conduct monthly food advisory board meetings with residents.
  • Work at least one weekend day per week.

Requirements

  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
  • Knowledge of dietary procedures and health regulations.
  • Ability to serve food efficiently.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Stand for extended periods.
