We are searching for the best talent for Assembly Packaging Operator to be in Raynham, MA.
Purpose: Operates diverse types of machinery in an assigned cell, to produce various types of Medical Devices, including implants. Equipment used depends on product being manufactured or operation being performed and may vary from cell to cell. Under direction of the supervisor and/or cell lead, works to ensure production requirements are met, product quality is maintained, machine maintenance schedules are adhered to and safety rules are followed.
You will be responsible for:
- Operates diverse types of equipment used to manufacture various types of Medical Devices established within the manufacturing processes and quality requirements.
- Completes tasks using technology systems such as PLM, MES, Microsoft Office, ERP systems, etc.
- Operator Asset Care on a regular basis such as, but not limited to, process machine maintenance.
- Completes rework or reprocessing, as necessary, on products rejected by process in the specification. Works with other production areas and cell leaders, as necessary, to resolve quality problems.
- Works following appropriate safety practices and/or JSAs to prevent accidents to self or co-workers.
- Know and follow all policies that apply to one's job, and maintain the highest levels of professionalism, ethics, and compliance always.
- Ensures that in process quality checks are completed following established quality specifications. Interface with quality and other production employees to resolve problems.
- Works in accordance with all requirements for manufacturing medical devices (e.g. FDA QSR, ISO 9000, ISO 13485).
- Completes required documentation as required by process, and inspection sheets, work instructions, and the document traceability.
- Lift up to 25 pounds may be required on a regular basis.
- Ability to learn and adhere to specific procedures according to the department training plan.
- Knows and follows all laws and policies that apply to one's job, and maintains the highest levels of professionalism, ethics, and compliance at all times.
- Partners with engineering team to ensure completion of expansion & validation activities in a timely manner, acting as subject matter expert where applicable or providing correct point of contact to operator subject matter expert.
- Follow all applicable EHS&S policies and procedures which includes PPE, work practices, and control measures. Promptly report EHS&S Incidents and Good Saves Complete EHS&S training and CAPAs on-time. Ensure department waste is segregated for proper disposal (recycle vs trash).
- Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level
- Responsible for following all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices as applicable.
- For those who supervise or manage a staff, responsible for ensuring that subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition, if applicable
- Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures

Cleaning Tasks:
- Operations being performed depend on cell assignment and product being manufactured but may include and are not limited to cleaning and labeling.
- Equipment used may be but not limited to Optimal, Branson, labeling equipment, and centrifuges, but is not limited to, various types of cleaning equipment used depends on product being manufactured or operation being performed.
- All operators use various types of measuring instruments including numerous types of pH meters, go/ no-go gages, conductivity meters, visual inspectional, and digital titrators for chemical analysis.
- All operators use diverse types of hand tools but not limited to spanner wrenches, screwdrivers, etc.
- Perform preventative maintenance as needed on equipment upon instruction.
Packaging Tasks:
- Operations being performed depend on cell assignment and product being manufactured but may include and are not limited to assembly or packaging/labeling.
- Manual or automatic equipment used may be but not limited to Atlas Vac, Multivac, Ceratek, pin press, air streams, various types of assembly equipment, pack/labeling equipment. Equipment used depends on the product being manufactured or the operation being performed.
- All operators use various types of measuring instruments including numerous types of pH meters, go/ no-go gages, conductivity meters, and visual inspectional.
Finishing Tasks:
- Operations being performed depend on cell assignment and product being manufactured but may include and are not limited to order breakdown, visual inspection, documentation reconciliation, PO receipt, shipping, bag and tag, and shrink wrap operations.
- Manual or automatic equipment used may be but not limited to printers, shrink wrap machines, palletizing machines, pallet jacks, and measurement equipment.
- Product receipt, material handling, and storage responsibilities. This includes but not limited to cycle counting, and inventory management.
Qualifications / Requirements:EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to learn and adhere to specific procedures according to the department training plan.
- Ability to read, comprehend and apply documentation such as safety, operating and maintenance instructions.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse clientele base.
- Ability to work cooperatively with coworkers and the public.
- Ability to perform duties in accordance with policies and procedures and in to comply civil rights requirements.
- Demonstrates understanding of health and safety requirements.
- Able to deliver oral and written communications and use electronic systems.
Preferred:
- Lean/Six Sigma knowledge preferred.
- 6 months or more hands-on-experience in manufacturing environment preferred.
- Demonstrates some awareness of other engineering specialties and upstream stakeholders, including Quality Engineering and New Product Introduction teams.
- Demonstrates advanced knowledge of equipment effectiveness and manufacturing & maintenance excellence concepts (OEE, SOL, etc.).
- Demonstrates organized, analytical approach to problem solving.
- Measuring instrumentation knowledge and/or technique
The anticipated base pay range for this position is $29,000 to $41,000.
